Parents want two things from Primary Science tuition: real academic support and reliable results. At Edify: Math & Science, we deliver both—with a curriculum led by ex-MOE teachers, built around active experiments, and powered by clear, exam-smart frameworks like RATCC and CER. Over the past three PSLE cohorts, our students achieved 100% passes with 66%+ quality passes (AL1–AL3)—consistently.

What Makes Edify’s Primary Science Program Different?

1) Taught by Experienced Ex-MOE Teachers

Former MOE teachers design every lesson to build concept mastery first, then polish exam technique with targeted practice and feedback. Expect clarity on common misconceptions (heat vs temperature, mass vs weight), model answers that mirror PSLE rubrics, and steady progress from foundation to higher-order application.

2) Engaging, Hands-On Experiments

"What I hear, I forget; what I see, I remember; what I do, I understand" Science sticks when kids see, touch, and test. We pair each topic with simple, safe experiments or demo investigations so abstract ideas become memorable—and easier to explain in Booklet B.

3) RATCC: Read • Annotate • Topic • Concepts • Compare

Students learn to decode questions like a scientist:

  • R – Read: Skim for gist, re-read for details.

  • A – Annotate: Underline clues (variables, conditions, data trends).

  • T – Topic: Identify what’s being tested (e.g., Materials, Cycles, Interactions).

  • C – Concepts: List the key principles needed.

  • C – Compare: Weigh options using appropriate comparative words in answers—more/less, higher/lower, faster/slower, brighter/dimmer, thicker/thinner, greater/smaller.

Why this matters: PSLE open-ended questions often require comparison. Using precise comparative language prevents vague answers and ensures that the student do not lose marks when they know the concepts.

4) CER: Claim–Evidence–Reasoning for Full-Mark Explanations

Most marks are lost for incomplete explanations. CER trains students to answer the way examiners expect:

  • Claim: Material B is the most suitable to be made into a safety vest for workers.

  • Evidence: According to the table, it reflects the MOST light.

  • Reason (with science concept): So MOST light will be reflected into the eyes of road users and drivers, so they are MORE likely to spot the workers at night and avoid an accident.

This structure produces clear, logical responses for Booklet B “explain/why” questions—and it reinforces correct comparative phrasing.

5) Customised First 30 Minutes: Match School Topics & Weighted Assessments

Different schools teach topics in different sequences. It’s hard to find a class that matches what your child is being tested on right now. At Edify, the first 30 minutes of every Science lesson are dedicated to customised learning—we revise and prepare for your child’s current school topic, upcoming weighted assessments, or immediate concept gaps. This keeps tuition tightly aligned to school demands while we continue building long-term mastery.

6) Proven Results: 66%+ AL1–AL3 and 100% Passes (3 Years Running)

Our blend of concept mastery, RATCC + CER, hands-on learning, and frequent micro-assessments drives outcomes:

  • Quality passes (AL1–AL3): 66%+ across the past 3 cohorts

  • Overall passes: 100% across the past 3 cohorts

  • Progress tracking: Topic checklists, timed drills, and targeted feedback
